Talk Print | Printmakers from Tokyo Geidai

 The Ink Shop Printmaking Center will host visiting printmakers and architects from Tokyo with an exhibit displaying prints and drawings.This is the first comprehensive show in the USA of printed art from the Printmaking Department of Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku (Tokyo University of Fine Art). The show will present the work of the students and the faculty of the only National Art University in Japan, which has produced numerous famous artists, maintaining tradition and pushing the forefront of contemporary Japanese art since the 19th century. Geidai's architectural department is also Kumi Korf's alma mater. (Kumi is a long time beloved printmaker at the Ink Shop.) Most of her classmates are practicing architects.

Faculty and Students form Tokyo Geidai will discuss their work and their studio between 3 and 5pm at the Ink Shop. Come and meet the artists!
