Artist Statement
Metamorphosis, change, and evolution are major themes that I have worked with over the last two decades. Change is a dominant constant in the universe and everything is in motion at all times. I have tried to capture and freeze motion in some of my work, and at other times I have explored the idea that motion and change cannot be stopped. My work includes photographic images screen-printed with various mediums (crude oil, glue, and ink) on materials ranging from wood, metal, and glass to concrete, plaster and dirt. The images, subject matter and materials that I use are inspired by current affairs such as: globalization, development, transportation, and environmental degradation as well as my own life experiences.

The Fellow is given the privileges of a Printmaker Associate, including unlimited access to the studio to produce their own work, a stipend, the possibility of teaching workshops, and editioning for others on a fee basis, and will have a solo show here at The Ink Shop for the month of June.
