Caleb is a printmaker, graffiti artist, and designer who is passionate about the intersections of art and justice.  I coordinate murals throughout Ithaca as part of an art and culture strategy for community organizing and justice movement building.

As the organizer of Ithaca Murals, Caleb connects local artists with public spaces throughout the city to create a collection of inspiring and activist art. Under his guidance, Ithaca’s public murals have grown from about 15 in 2009 to nearly 400 as of 2023.

He was recognized for his leadership in developing Ithaca’s public art scene and named the Tompkins Chamber’s Community Hero of the Month in January 2022.

The Kahn Family Fellowship, in memory of our colleague Peter Kahn, is designed to offer opportunities to artists seeking further experience and professional development in printmaking and book arts, and is available to artists with postgraduate degrees in printmaking or book arts locally, nationally or internationally. The Fellow is given the privileges of a Printmaker Associate, including unlimited access to the studio to produce their own work, a stipend, the possibility of teaching workshops, and editioning for others on a fee basis, and will have a solo show here at The Ink Shop for the month of June.
