Arrival Deadline for $ Exchange Portfolio


The Theme is Exchange as in money....

These are hard times, but we are can make our own.

Exchange: as in exchange portfolio. You make an edition and so do other artists. Then we assemble them all and put them together and send you your own collecton of hand made money made by great printmakers!  So make some money and include the heroes, villains or icons of your choosing.

1. Tell Us Now: Really...Let us know if you want to be in as soon as you can. By filling out this form you reserve a place in the portfolio.

2. Read and fill in this this PDF then send it to us with your prints.

Exchange Specifications:
Editions should consist of twenty two impressions numbered 1/22 to 22/22, using any archival material. Twenty of the prints will be redistributed to other participants in a random selection process. Prints 1/22 and 2/22 from each edition will be retained as a complete set for the Ink Shop Printmaking Center Archives and display.

Arrival Deadline for prints is September 2.
(Prints must be must be dry at the time of submission.)
Exhibition Dates: Sep 5 - Sep 30, 2014
Opening Reception Fri, Sep 5, 2014, 5-8pm
Portfolio Distribution week of Oct 13, 2014

Edition size: 22; numbered 1/22 to 22/22
Entry fee: $10 (Sorry you can’t pay using the money you printed. Nice try) You can make out a check to The Ink Shop Printmaking Center or pay via PayPal here.
Return Postage: If you’d like us to send your portfolio to you, we require return postage included with your prints.
Media: All forms of printmaking are accepted.
Paper size: 2 5/8” x 6 1/8” (dollar size) 2 3/8” x 4 3/4’ ( Euro Size) – prints can be full bleed. Both front and back of the paper should be considered.
Also thin paper is preferred---for example Kozo, Tyvek Kitikata....so it all can fit in a wallet see. You can be loose about this, just make sure it fits in a wallet and resembles money maybe. Interleafing: Optional (cut 3” x 6.5”)
Sign and edition your prints!
Portfolio: Each collection will be housed in a hand printed, Ink Shop made paper wallet/portfolio.

Each year the Artists' Market fills all 88 booths at the Farmers Market location in a unique, once-a-year, can't miss event.  No admission fee! Just come!

Over 60 established  artists are juried into the Ithaca Artists' Market each year to showcase and sell some of the best art in the region. Visitors to the market have the special opportunity to meet and talk with all these artists in one place and to buy works of all shapes, sizes, and disciplines: paintings, prints, photographs, functional work, sculpture, stained glass, collage, fiber art and digital work. Now including books, music, video and more!

Hidden Books: the Art of Kum Korf

A documentary about life's treasures and the work of an artist to reveal them.

Come and meet the director Sam Hampton, producer Kirsten Hampton, composer Robby Aceto and artist Kumi Korf.

This lovely, award winning short film about local, yet internationally known artist Kumi Korf, unfolds very much like one of Kumi's artworks. A painter, print and bookmaker, Kumi was born in Japan, but has lived most of her life in Ithaca. This documentary gives a unique perspective on Kumi's life as an artist, and how the world around her influences her work. With music by local composer Robby Aceto. Ok, it was a bit of a trek, though a worthy one. Unfortunately we did not get enough travelers to make our costs.
