Intro to Plate Litho | Julianne Hunter $165 non-associates / $140.25 associates ($35 for materials)

In this three-session tutorial, learn to prepare, create and print your images from photo-sensitive lithography plates. Explore traditional techniques like drawing with litho pencils and crayons, scraping away dark areas to create fine line, and painting tonal washes with tusche. Juxtapose your drawings with photographic imagery to create dynamic prints! We will get acquainted with proper press operation, set and clean-up and hone our printing skills through assisting your peers. We will participate in a group portfolio exchange on the last day and professionally sign and edition our works. Students will leave with a new understanding of the process, class portfolio and an edition of your own prints.
